Elements of Flowers and Bird

Residential House

The interior decoration design consolidating the oriental and western styles has always been symbolizing the attitude of challenge and expertise.

This residential interior design project, named Elements of Flowers and Bird, showcases a unique fusion of art and humanity. Designed by Szu-Wen Wang and Chung-Ting Wang, it seamlessly combines contemporary, classical, oriental, and western elements, resulting in a space that is both visually stunning and culturally rich.

The design concept draws inspiration from the oriental and western styles, symbolizing a bold and expert approach to interior decoration. The designers aimed to create a space that harmoniously blends different aesthetics, resulting in a truly distinctive and captivating design.

The main highlight of the design is the intricate wall decorations. In the entryway, oriental-style leather carvings of birds adorn the walls, complemented by elegant colors. The living room walls feature sophisticated moldings with symmetrical structures, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. The main wall is deliberately adorned with chrysanthemum patterns, symbolizing wealth and auspicious wishes in oriental cultures. The tea table, with its ancient coin patterns, further adds a touch of oriental charm.

The master bedroom, located in the private area, exudes elegance with its beige color palette. Lively flora lamps, curtains, and furniture create a visually pleasing atmosphere. The combination of wood blinds and moldings adds a contemporary touch, while also incorporating new classical features. The design of the bathroom in the master bedroom incorporates classical salon and American-style elements, resulting in a mixed French-style aesthetic.

The design team faced several challenges during the project. They skillfully balanced the use of gentle white as the main color, creatively incorporating small high-chroma colors to add depth to the space. The combination of sophisticated moldings and plain furniture harmoniously blends different styles, creating a unique and aesthetic ambiance.

Elements of Flowers and Bird was completed in 2018 in Taipei City, Taiwan. The design showcases the designers' meticulous research and attention to detail. It is a testament to their ability to seamlessly merge different design elements and create a space that is both visually captivating and culturally significant.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and technical skills. Elements of Flowers and Bird exemplifies the best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to the improvement of quality of life.
